• Standard Formula — Designed for horses, cattle, mules, and donkeys that need stronger sweat, moisture, and odor support. Ideal for hardworking, high-activity animals.

• Sensitive Formula — Made for dogs, goats, mini pigs, and livestock with delicate or easily unsettled skin or shorn/clipped llamas, alpacas and sheep. This baking-soda–free blend offers an ultra-gentle option for reactive animals, without over-drying.
  
  

Q: Can I use the Sensitive Formula on a horse with delicate or reactive skin?
A: Yes. The Sensitive blend is safe for horses and livestock with easily irritated, reactive, or moisture-prone skin.

For daily performance or heavy barn environments, the Standard Formula is still recommended.

Q: Can I use both the Standard and Sensitive formulas on the same animal?

A: Yes. Many owners use the Standard Formula for high-sweat or under-tack areas and the Sensitive Formula on folds, creases, or delicate spots. They can be used together safely.

Q: How soon will I see results?
A: Many owners notice improvements in comfort, reduced rubbing, and less moisture accumulation within 3–7 days of consistent use. Every animal is different, and results vary with coat type, environment, and frequency of use.

Q: Will it resolve persistent skin issues?
A: KindHide helps manage sweat, moisture, friction, and the environment around the skin to support comfort. It is not a medical treatment. For persistent or serious skin concerns, consult your veterinarian.

Q: How often should I apply KindHide powder?
A:
• For areas prone to seasonal dampness or friction: apply once or twice daily as needed.
• For routine freshness and odor prevention: apply 2–4 times weekly, or after exercise, grooming, or sweat-heavy activity.

Q: How do I apply the powder correctly?
A:

1. Ensure the area is clean and dry.

2. Sprinkle the powder evenly onto the coat or skin.

3. Use your fingertips or a soft brush to work it in gently.

Q: Can I use KindHide powder under tack, boots, or blankets?
A: Absolutely. Both formulas are designed for sweat-prone environments and can be used under tack, boots, blankets, or gear to help reduce friction and moisture buildup.

Q: Can I use KindHide on broken, raw, or open skin?

A: KindHide is designed for intact skin only.
Avoid applying to open wounds or actively bleeding areas. If the skin is broken, we recommend consulting your veterinarian before use.

Q: Is KindHide safe for pregnant or nursing animals?

A: No. Due to the botanical properties of Neem and Chamomile, KindHide is not recommended for use on or around pregnant or nursing animals or humans. We recommend consulting your veterinarian before introducing any new topical product to a breeding animal.

Q: Why choose a baking-soda-free formula?
A: While effective for odor, baking soda can be too alkaline for some hides. Our Sensitive Formula replaces baking soda with Colloidal Oatmeal, Chamomile, and Neem to soothe and protect delicate skin while naturally managing odor—all without the risk of irritation or over-drying.

Q: Is it safe if my animal licks or grooms after application?
A: KindHide uses high-quality, natural ingredients. While a small amount of licking during normal grooming is generally not a concern, the powder is for external use only and should not be consumed in large amounts. If your animal ingests a significant amount, consult your veterinarian.

Q: Are your ingredients cruelty-free and transparent?
A: Yes. Every jar is cruelty-free, made in small batches in the USA, and clearly labeled with simple, purposeful ingredients.

Q: Is there any added scent?

A: No. Both formulas are naturally fragrance-free, with no perfumes, essential oils, or synthetic scents — making them ideal for scent-sensitive dogs, goats, and horses.

Q: Will the powder clump, cake, or discolor the coat?

A: No. KindHide powders are ultra-fine and lightweight. They brush in cleanly without leaving residue, clumping, or tinting the coat — even on white animals.

Q: Can KindHide be used alongside medicated shampoos or treatments?

A: Yes. KindHide can be used between washes and alongside veterinary-recommended treatments. If your animal is on a prescription skin regimen, consult your vet for the ideal routine.

Q: How should I store the powder?
A: Keep in a cool, dry place with the lid tightly closed. Avoid humid environments or direct sunlight to maintain texture and performance.

Q: What is the shelf life?
A: When stored properly, KindHide powders remain effective for 12–18 months. Because there are no preservatives, we recommend keeping the jar tightly sealed between uses.

Q: Is the Sensitive Formula safe for other small pets (like rabbits or kittens)?
A: The Sensitive Formula is our gentlest option, featuring soothing Chamomile and Colloidal Oatmeal. While it is suitable for a wide range of animals, we always recommend checking with your veterinarian for very small or exotic pets, especially regarding the use of Neem.

Q: Can I use KindHide on animals with allergies?
A: Both formulas contain botanicals from the Asteraceae (daisy) family. If your animal has a known allergy to ragweed, daisies, or marigolds, we recommend performing a 24-hour patch test or consulting your veterinarian before full application.
